Here are some highlights from this week's happenings in Nashville: Alternative rock band **Helmet** are playing The Basement East on Monday. On Wednesday, someone has combined records, pedal steel and synthesizers all together in the same time and place at Vinyl Tap. **Jeff Snyder** invented an instrument called an Electrosteel that is part pedal steel and part synthesizer. He will be providing a hands-on showcase, followed by performances from **Owen Lake and the Tragic Loves** and pedal steel master **Luke Schneider**. This month's Pamphleteer event, **Whitepilled with Scott Greer**, will take place Thursday. Join **Scott Greer** and **Davis Hunt** for a conversation on the rise of the online Right, the collapse of the old conservative consensus, and the political realities that followed. I was told you all like jam bands; **Lettuce** are headlining The Caverns in Grundy County on Friday. Nashville-based **Hannah Cole** will be playing The Blue Room on Friday, blending 90's grunge and pop in a way that I personally find very charming.
