Final Thoughts From Matt Van Epps and Aftyn Behn

From Megan Podsiedlik

On the ground: While driving by a Clarksville voting location at St. Bethlehem Christian Church on Dunbar Cave Rd, campaign supporters holding signs for Democrat nominee Aftyn Behn were seen shouting at Matt Van Epps campaign volunteers. Though Behn’s cohort were actively instigating Van Epps sign holders, those in support of the Republican nominee did not engage in the shouting match.

Final Words From Behn: Aftyn Behn wants you to “stay tuned for another world.” The Democratic nominee stayed in alignment with her previous statements expounding upon how she hates “all of the things that make Nashville, apparently, an ‘it’ city to the rest of the country.” In an email sent out this morning, Behn stated that, if elected, she hopes to change Tennessee. “This campaign has been about so much, but most importantly, to me, it’s been a vehicle to radically reimagine what’s possible,” she posted on Substack.

While canvassing in Clarksville yesterday, Behn claimed that Matt Van Epps was hiding “behind the big pearly gates of a Williamson County mega mansion, meeting with the puppet masters and power brokers of the universe.”

Final Words From Van Epps: Matt Van Epps has been popping up at different voting locations this morning with a “get out the vote” message to his supporters. “Your vote could be the one that makes all the difference,” said Van Epps in a live video shot at a Williamson County polling location in West Haven. “So please come stand with us. Get out and vote, and we're going to bring this home decisively today. Thank you all so much, everybody.”

Join Us On December 10th for an evening with writer Aaron Renn. Renn's recent book, Life in the Negative World, talks about being a Christian in a culture hostile to Christianity.

At our event, he will discuss this in addition to the crisis of civic leadership plaguing cities like Nashville. Aaron runs a very popular Substack, has written for The Guardian, The Wall Street Journal, and The Atlantic and was recently profiled in the New York Times. Currently, he's a Senior Fellow at American Reformer.

This is the first in a new series of monthly lectures we'll be hosting. Paying subscribers receive free access to this and future events. (Buy Tickets)
