Good morning everyone!

AMERICANAFEST will be taking over Nashville from Tuesday through Saturday this week. I've listed some recommendations for each day of the festival below, including several FREE events!

TUESDAY

To kick things off, Renée Fleming and Béla Fleck are performing The Fiddle and The Drum with the Nashville Symphony with special guest Sierra Hull at Schermerhorn Symphony Center (Info) and Amy Grant will be performing at 3rd and Lindsley, Info.

WEDNESDAY

Newgrass string quartet Arkansauce will be at The 5 Spot (Info) and country roots musician Will Worden is playing The Station Inn, Info. The 2nd Annual Americana Outsiders showcase at Vinyl Tap will feature sets by Chris Gantry, Spencer Cullum, Eli Winter Trio & Maisy Owen. It's free! Info.

THURSDAY

Tulsa based folk musician Ramsey Thornton is performing at Analog at Hutton Hotel (Info) and Langhorne Slim, Shakey Graves and Futurebirds will be at The Basement East, Info.

Durham, North Carolina indie folk project Hiss Golden Messenger will be at The Blue Room (Info) and bluegrass singer and guitarist Bella White will be playing at Exit/In, Info.

Gar Hole Records + Sipsman are throwing a "Shit Hole Country" Party at Turkey and the Wolf Ice House. The lineup includes special guest Angela Autumn along with Nick Shoulders, Lily Seabird and more, Info. Free and all ages!

FRIDAY

Paul McDonald's "One Big Love" festival will be at Acme Feed and Seed, free and all ages! Info.

Nashville alt-country project Ovven along with indie singer-songwritters Katie Pruitt, Brennan Wedl are performing at The Blue Room, Info.

Classic country inspired indie folk artist Meels plays at The Basement, Info. Arkansas country singer-songwriter Nick Shoulders will be at 3rd and Lindsley, Info.

Irish Americana folk band Howley perform at The Station Inn, Info. Nashville singer-songwriter Maisy Owen plays City Winery Lounge (Info) and Wynonna Judd headlines The Basement East, Info.

SATURDAY

Swamp Dogg and The Sways close things out at The Blue Room, Info.

If you're in the mood for non-AMERICANAFEST activities, you can check out The Sex Pistols at Marathon Music Works on Tuesday, Taking Back Sunday at The Pinnacle on Wednesday and Northern California indie-punk band SWMRS are performing at Cannery Hall on Friday.

Unfortunately, Alison Krauss and Union Station with Jerry Douglas three night residency at Ryman Auditorium has been canceled.
