Events for the Week of September 28th
Good morning everyone! It's a big week for lectures about the Antichrist and also 3rd wave emo concerts. Much to consider.
Kacey Musgraves performs for her second night at Bridgestone Arena tonight and the suspiciously successful NYC indie rock band Geese will be headlining Ryman Auditorium both tonight and tomorrow.
Also tonight— The Pamphleteer, in collaboration with Meriwether Academy, host the first of Peter Thiel's four-part Antichrist lecture series.
Brand New headlines The Pinnacle on Tuesday and Hot Rod Circuit perform at Eastside Bowl on Wednesday.
Copeland have a stripped down set at The Blue Room on Friday. The last time I saw Copeland, Paramore opened for them, and this was apparently my last opportunity to see Hayley Williams perform without getting lectured about how racist the South is. I guess you never appreciate what you have until it's gone.
The Underdog's annual 4 day festival Undie Fest 5 will be happening Thursday through Sunday. You can check out the schedule here.
Umphrey's McGee will be jamming Friday and Saturday at Brooklyn Bowl and Greta Van Fleet kick off their residency at The Basement East on Saturday. If that is not loud enough for you, may I recommend drone metal pioneers Sunn O))) at The Caverns.
