Heart Eyes (Dir. Josh Ruben; Starring Jordana Brewster and Devon Sawa) The slasher meets police procedural as two detectives investigate a serial killer who goes after couples on Valentine’s Day. By all accounts, a worthy successor to Scream. Now playing in theaters.
Love Hurts (Dir. Jojo Eusebio; Starring Ke Huy Quan and Ariana DeBose) A Midwest realtor gets pulled back into his past life as an assassin as the guy from Indiana Jones and Everything Everywhere follows in the footsteps of John Wick and Nobody. Now playing in theaters.
Becoming Led Zeppelin (Dir. Bernard MacMahan) Plant, Page, and the rest get their first documentary, which opens wide (and in IMAX) on Valentine’s Day. Now playing at AMC Thoroughbred 20.
The Seed of the Sacred Fig (Dir. Mohammad Rasoulof; Starring Missagh Zareh ) This Oscar nominee for Best International Film follows an Iranian iman appointed to a judgeship who deals with political unrest. More impressively, it was shot entirely in secret in the nation. Now playing at AMC Thoroughbred 20 and The Belcourt.
Parasite (Dir. Bong Joon Ho; Starring Song Kang-ho) The 2020 Oscar darling about South Korean class warfare gets an IMAX release in preparation for the director’s follow-up, Mickey 17, next month. Now playing at AMC Thoroughbred 20 and Regal Opry Mills 20.
Bring Them Down (Dir. Chris Andrews; Starring Barry Keoghan and Christopher Abbott) Two West Ireland farming families go to war with each other in the latest from indie distributor Mubi. Now playing at Regal Hollywood 27.
